The Youth Choir Association offers a Children’s Choir Pedagogy training, where you will learn how to guide children’s singing and choir skills in a group setting.
This training is suitable for music teachers, cantors, vocal pedagogues, and music students, as well as choir singers or music enthusiasts with experience guiding children’s groups, such as class teachers and early childhood educators.
The course programme provides engaging and child-friendly songs, as well as basic tools for teaching children to sing. The day will also include instructions on leading choir games.
Training Content:
- • Hello, we are singing! Voice formation in children’s choirs
- • Finding harmony together: Unison singing and the basics of part-singing
- • We are a choir! Transforming a children’s group into a choir with choir skills
- • Basic conducting techniques: Simultaneous starting and stopping, basic beat patterns, dynamics, tempo, and entries
- • Practicing with different types of songs and choral pieces
- • Repertoire exchange
Price:
- €700 / 6 hours
