Singing Tips for Children and Teachers by Äänitimpuri

  • The Youth Choir Association offers customized training courses tailored to the needs of the client. The course is led by Mari Koistinen, a Master of Music (MuM), Voice Therapist (Äänitimpuri), and PhD researcher.

  • Singing in your own unique voice is the right of every child and young person and part of equal arts education. Singing promotes health in many ways, as in improving body awareness and control, relaxing, and using breath to influence our nervous system. Through singing, we also learn emotional regulation, social interaction skills, teamwork, and to enhance concentration.
The Training Package Includes among other things:
  • • The anatomy and physiology of children’s and youth’s voice development.
  • • Functional exercises for singing and for vocal/body warm-ups for children and youth.
  • • Information and exercises to enhance group/choir singing.
  • • Games, expressive exercises, singing games, vocal exercises, and creative movement and body-awareness exercises suitable for music education and choir work.
Price:
  • €700 / 6 hours

+ Trainer’s travel expenses (and accommodation if necessary).
