In English

The Finnish Youth Choir Association (Nuorten Kuoroliitto) is an organization dedicated to advocating for children’s and youth choirs in Finland. Its mission is to serve as an information provider, expert, and link between youth choirs and various organizations in the field. The association is one of six specialized associations under Sulasol.

The association also organizes events, choir camps, and training sessions, as well as publishes new repertoire for choirs. To stay updated on our activities subscribe to our newsletter via email.

Events & Training

We organize training sessions for both choir singers and choir leaders. We also provide opportunities for aspiring choir leaders, giving them their first experience and inspiration for conducting.

Our training sessions are arranged in collaboration with Opintokeskus Sivis (Sivis Study Centre).

The events hosted by the Finnish Youth Choir Association bring together children’s and youth choirs and music professionals, around various themes.

MunKuoro Activities

MunKuoro is an initiative by the Finnish Youth Choir Association for choirs that are open to all. There are no auditions—every child and young person is welcome, regardless of skill level, religion, or background.

The MunKuoro network provides its choirs with shared activities, and makes sure that choir leaders receive strong support. The Swedish-language MinKör network is coordinated by DUNK – De Ungas Musikförbund i Svenskfinland.

Visit the MunKuoro website.

Youth Team

The Youth Team consists of singers aged 15 or older who want to influence the activities of the Finnish Youth Choir Association. This team serves as the voice of choir singers within the association. 1–2 team members are also involved in the work of the board of the association.

Puhtaasti Project

The Finnish Youth Choir Association is involved in Puhtaasti!, a project by Sulasol ry promoting awareness and understanding of copyright issues.

The Puhtaasti website provides extensive information, resources, tips, and guidelines for music users.
